Algebra 2 & Geometry is a continuation of the summer program, designed for students with a strong Algebra 2 foundation who want to prepare for Precalculus, SAT Math, and future Calculus courses. The fall session (Part 1), held from September to December, reviews essential Geometry concepts and advances key Algebra 2 skills, covering topics such as rational exponents, logarithmic equations, rational functions, conic sections, sequences and series, probability, trigonometric ratios, sine and cosine laws, circles, sectors, arcs, and areas of regular polygons. This is Part 1 of a two-part course, with Part 2 continuing in the spring.
The Advanced Algebra 1 course continues from the summer 8th Grade/Algebra 1 class and is designed for students with a strong grasp of foundational Algebra 1 concepts such as solving linear equations and inequalities, graphing, exponents, radicals, and writing linear functions. Running from September 8 to December 14, the fall session covers exponential functions, sequences and series, radical functions and equations, graphing and solving radical equations, and an introduction to basic factoring. This course deepens core Algebra 1 skills to prepare students for higher-level math and success on the Keystone exams.
NOTE: This is a full-year course, completed over two consecutive sessions (Fall & Spring). This registration is for the Fall session.
